Gradually Getting Back!

Manchester United After having a turbulent time last weekend with a humiliating 5-0 home defeat to Liverpool FC, coupled with so much opinions and speculations on the job of the manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being questionable with potential suitors already identified for his job replacement. The team within this period had time to recover from the shock of the previous week end, and headed on to prepare and train for the following Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur the following week end.

Following the completion to the buildup of Saturday's game against Spurs, Manchester United had prepared within a lengthy period which was almost up to a week given that the team isn't longer part of this season's Carabao Cup that took place in the mid week involving most of the Premier League teams. Thus Manchester United came in this time with recovery full of rage and determination to face Tottenham Hotspur away at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London in an exceptional derby that was being renamed by most fans as "El Sackico" given that the managers of the both teams involved had their jobs on the line, due to their poor runs in league form.

As of the fixture, it started in quite a stumbling way for the Red Devils due to the unstable defending as of the beginning of the game, that led to a disallowed goal by Spurs, and also coupled with the booking incurred by the team in the first half of the game which raised early scares of the possibility of a sent off in the predicted course of the game. However the continuation of the game could be some how impressive for Manchester United given then the game finished halfway with a 1-0 win by the Red Devils with an absolute volley from the star man Cristiano Ronaldo, being assisted by his fellow country man Bruno Fernandes.

The Second half of the game however was the icing on the cake with Manchester United's lead extended and made comfortable by 'El Matador' Edison Cavani being assisted by Ronaldo. And later Marcus Rashford who came in from the bench to replace Ronaldo made himself a super sub by converting the assist from Nemanja Matic to scoring the third goal for Manchester United thus making the game end in a 3-0 away win for the Red Devils.

However, it is no surprise that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer always has a better away record relative to home games. Also this game could also see the possibility of a real workable attacking partnership between Ronaldo and Cavani given that both players started the game, and their dou was able to produce two goals and an assist. Thus from the results it is equally certain that Ole has secured his job for the time being and extended his stay given that there are two more crucial games ahead for the Red Devils.

And from the two games to come, it is evident that United can get a point or three from Atalanta in the Champions League because the team seems to be more serious in European games than the domestic games this season, and the clash against Manchester City next weekend is the most crucial and difficult one as predicted because a strong team like Manchester City might not want to lose another consecutive league game given that it lost it previous game in the league against Crystal Palace, and it will equally want to fight to close the gap to the top of the table.
